Support the Connector

Help Lancaster Go Blue Green!

The Blue Green Connector is a key part of Lancaster’s goal for clean and clear water for everyone by 2040.

When you support this project, you’re helping create something truly special — a place where people and nature thrive together.

What does this look like?

  • A restored and thriving Little Conestoga Creek
  • Trails that are easy for everyone to access and enjoy
  • A route that links neighborhoods, parks, and businesses
  • Hands-on ways to explore and learn about nature
  • More reasons for people to get outside!

Together, we can build something lasting—right here in Lancaster County.

What Our Partners Say

“DEP is proud to be part of the ongoing effort to restore Little Conestoga Creek, reduce pollution, improve flood resiliency, and create the Blue Green Connector. This project will provide environmental education in a recreational setting, strengthening the community’s connection to nature…Children who have meaningful environmental experiences become better stewards of our natural resources as adults

Acting Pennsylvania DEP Secretary Jessica Shirley

Lancaster’s shared vision of clean and clear water by 2040 needs projects like the Blue Green Connector. This project is at a scale that helps us achieve not only local water quality improvements as outlined in our CAP, but also inspires innovative thinking and requires reaching out to neighbors, inviting them to learn about and live in this system together.

Lancaster Clean Water Partners Executive Director Allyson Ladley Gibson

We hope that this project catalyzes others to address water quality and ecosystem health throughout Lancaster County, and recognize that recreational and educational opportunities improve the quality of life in our community.
